With 11 days remaining in the year, I am optimistic and excited for 2012. The year ahead poses enormous opportunities, challenges, and sacrifices that I must weigh. As such, I prepare for the worst, but I am hopeful for the best. Here, are a few of my highlights of 2011:
1. Started my personal Blog/Twitter accounts.
2. Attained my MBA (marketing concentration).
3. Started a post-graduate degree (MPA/Govt emphasis) and PMP certification process.
4. Selected as pro bono marketing consultant for Taproot Foundation.
5. Selected as project manager for Namaste Charter School project (Taproot Foundation).
6. Joined American Marketing Association (committee member w/ recruitment team).
7. Became an advocate/change agent for educational reform in the country.
8. Volunteered for Mayor, Rahm Emmanuel's political campaign.
9. Currently interviewing for educational management positions| as a "Change Agent".
10. Lost my faithful companion after almost 17 years, "Mayday" my Cocker Spaniel (RIP).
