Welcome to My Journey, I am Eunece V. Franklin, and this is "A Day in the Life of." I started my journey by "blogging" about my MBA pursuit (with an emphasis in Marketing). However, I have achieved that goal, and now invite you to follow me on my career journey. I am quite excited about the various opportunities that exist, and I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and friends, for their unwavering support. I invite you to follow me on this adventure as I continue to nourish my intellectual curiosity and open the doors for you to sneak a peek in, "A Day in the Life."

2011: The Teacher and The Mentor

I am quite lucky to have met and learned valuable educational and career lessons this year from two wonderfully, strong women. Both brilliant, to be sure, as one is a Harvard graduate, and the other a graduate from top ranked, world-renowned Chicago Booth. Dr. Dulcelina Stahl was my (MBA) capstone teacher who inspired me to do better. In fact, switching campuses to take her class was a blessing in disguise. Yes, the commute was a much longer travel from Chicago to Tinley Park, but the rich learning experience was so worth the miles to hear her famous quote, “go out, and create your own opportunity…you now have an MBA!” Thankfully, she was my last teacher for an excellent MBA journey that I will cherish for a life time.
Account Director, Erika Williams, bright, witty, disciplined, a true leader and the second inspiration of 2011. Erika selected me to work on a highly visible project for the Taproot Foundation, Namaste Charter School. She was the first one to take a chance on a new comer to lead a team of five creative professionals as project manager. Erika is an advertising executive by trade, with project management, sales and marketing skills, and terrific business acumen to boot. She has become my career mentor providing valuable advice that many would pay substantial bucks through a consultative service. Thanks Erika…for believing in me.

Many thanks to the ‘Teacher and The Mentor’ and thanks for being my inspiration!

In life, keep the best and get rid of the rest...I'm just saying.
