Prepare for the new economy! |
Okay, I have two weeks to prepare for career day at the McCormick Place. In doing so, I predict a plethora of MBA candidates to immerse on the scene, and the fiercely, competitive job market in Chicago calls for five key initiatives:
1) Dress for success, paying close attention to the industry of choice 2) Have an eye-catching, dynamic resume, and excellent references available 3) Prepare for the interview questions, and if possible, know something about the company of choice 4) Select appropriate, business cards, and include MBA candidate 5) Connect and continue to network via social media.
Oftentimes, potential candidates looking for employment find writing about themselves difficult to articulate on paper. If articulating ones skill-set poses a challenge, hire a resume writer that can professionally create a resume that convey HIRE ME! Last month, Tory Johnson of “Women for Hire” hosted a career fair at the Navy Pier, and Laura Milligan, of RESUMADay was exceptionally busy critiquing resumes. Checkout RESUMADAY, and present a confident image from head to toe while attending this year’s spring career fairs.
