One of my fellow graduate team members, Dulcie Gentle, who is also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, invited me to the "March of Dimes"
Walk for babies event. The event drew a large crowd with music, tons of volunteers, and all for a worthy cause. I knew it would be cold, but when Dulcie explained how her daughter was born premature, and that she really needed my support, I couldn't help but participate. A brisk, cold day in Chicago, to be sure. Nonetheless, it was a joy to run into so many of my sorority sisters, out and about serving a worthy cause.
The March of Dimes is an amazing organization. If you are interested in donating, check out the following site to make a charitable donation to: Dulcie Gentle's foundation. It will help Dulcie's daughter, and many other children born prematurely.
