Welcome to My Journey, I am Eunece V. Franklin, and this is "A Day in the Life of." I started my journey by "blogging" about my MBA pursuit (with an emphasis in Marketing). However, I have achieved that goal, and now invite you to follow me on my career journey. I am quite excited about the various opportunities that exist, and I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and friends, for their unwavering support. I invite you to follow me on this adventure as I continue to nourish my intellectual curiosity and open the doors for you to sneak a peek in, "A Day in the Life."

True American Hero's...

On September 28, 1998, one of my 20th century hero's, growing up, was struck with an untimely death, and the sport of track and field was never the same. Track and field phenom, and Olympic Gold medalist Florence Griffith-Joyner, aka (Flo Jo) was classy, sassy, fashionable and flamboyant; a beautiful human being, and more important, the fastest woman on earth (then and now)! Unfortunately, the sport has garnered bad publicity over the years with athletes "doping" and looking for fame, and fortune beyond the true meaning of athleticism, but Flo Jo was a true champion demonstrating hard work, perseverance, and dedication to the sport. Yes, I have heard the rumors from the "naysayers" trying to ruin the reputation of Flo Jo's legacy, but unless you have definitive evidence, in my eyes, "Flo Jo was and IS" the greatest sprinter of all time!

That said, on the night of the women's track and field to perform at the 2012 Olympics, the challenge is to beat Flo Jo's 10.6 Olympic record. My bet is on USA Olympian, Carmelita Jeter. Carmelita, bring home the GOLD. I need another track and field hero for the 21st century.

"True hero's come about once in a life time. Perhaps I will have two." I'm just saying...
