This semester, I am studying over the next 10
weeks "Managing Organizational Change" a fascinating class, to be
sure, and one that I am particularly interested in because of the theories,
practices, and processes of change. To that end, on the eve of the Reverend
Martin Luther King's birthday his message in the 21st century is still in the
utmost of importance and transcends race and religion with a focus on fairness,
justice, and equality for all. In fact, when the honorable King fought against
tyranny, poverty, economic fairness, affordable healthcare, and a quality
education for every child in America, there were many who labeled him a
"radical agitator". The media,
politicians and people in his own community tried to obscure his message and the real goals of
CHANGE.
Dr. King, your tireless efforts of CHANGE, racial and economic justice (for all oppressed), will be the legacy forever celebrated. However, in my humble opinion, speaking of CHANGE, the economic sustainability of the country rests on a systematic transformation in (education) to open up opportunities for ALL! I'm just saying...
