Is your online image important to you?

How important is your brand? VERY!

Recently, I had a discussion with my niece, and I explained to her the benefits, and drawbacks of social media, and technology. As such, because she is a bright young woman, and I am the consummate Aunt, I felt that it was necessary to tell her to delete 'Lil Wayne's music (intro) on her phone. After all, she just graduated from college, and it would sadden me if a company called her in for an interview, only to hear Lil Wayne's swearing, rap lyrics. In addition, one might not want to show all their graduation party photos on Face book.  Why? I personally just think it wise to leave out the pictures of your best friend drinking and throwing-up at a party. Last, and most important, it is wise to be selective in who one “befriends” on social media sites. Why? Well, there is an adage "birds of a feather flock"...you know the rest.
