Welcome to My Journey, I am Eunece V. Franklin, and this is "A Day in the Life of." I started my journey by "blogging" about my MBA pursuit (with an emphasis in Marketing). However, I have achieved that goal, and now invite you to follow me on my career journey. I am quite excited about the various opportunities that exist, and I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and friends, for their unwavering support. I invite you to follow me on this adventure as I continue to nourish my intellectual curiosity and open the doors for you to sneak a peek in, "A Day in the Life."

Why 82, is the new 62

That's my dad at 82. What a handsome man... :)
Most of my friends that have met my parents always say the same thing, "Eunece, your parents do not look their age." Ah, having good genes. Membership has it privileges, but for how long? Well, according to dad, who I respect, love, and trust, the following six things will take '10' years off your age, which equates to looking good, feeling healthy, and ultimately, " living as opposed to just existing."

1. Run your own race-stop worrying about what everybody else is doing. What are you doing?
2. Do not allow people to steal your time that you can never get back. Take care of you first.
3. Are you out to do your very best, at the expense (or on the backs) of others? Then certainly, that type of  a character will show up in your face/body, and it won't be pretty! Treat other's like you want to be  treated. Wow! What a concept... Lol
4. Exercise. The best one dad likes...a brisk walk. If you know my dad, you know that he walks very fast. His reasoning is simple, "gets the blood pumping", he says.
5. Want to age 20 years over night...STRESS! Get rid of it if it exists in your life.
6. Try to cook your own food. This is a tough one because I love to frequent a good restaurant. However, I can tell you that my father does NOT eat everyone's food. In fact, my dad does not eat at restaurants. His reasoning, "I like to know the people that are preparing my food."   Dad's favorite quote: "There's a pill to put you to sleep, and one to wake you up. Me, I go to bed when I'm sleepy and the good lord wakes me up every morning." At 82, no medications, and regular checkups, dad is in fabulous condition! I'm just saying...he must be doing something right.

But, dad says the most important reason he is able to look so good at 82 is because he found his soul mate  years ago: My mom. "She took very good care of me during my career, and that is key he said." Aahhhhh

My dad is amazing! Thanks for sharing the wisdom dad...I love you more! :)
