Welcome to My Journey, I am Eunece V. Franklin, and this is "A Day in the Life of." I started my journey by "blogging" about my MBA pursuit (with an emphasis in Marketing). However, I have achieved that goal, and now invite you to follow me on my career journey. I am quite excited about the various opportunities that exist, and I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and friends, for their unwavering support. I invite you to follow me on this adventure as I continue to nourish my intellectual curiosity and open the doors for you to sneak a peek in, "A Day in the Life."

How to take a 'MIND BREAK'

Is America being 'dummied down' by all the apparent NOISE...iPod, iPad, iPhone, blackberry, laptop computer, desk top computer, television, twitter, face book, linkedin, ebay, tumblr, google+. TURN-IT OFF, at least for a day. How? What I did this weekend was get rid of my television in my bedroom. My bedroom is a place to rest, relax, and pamper. It is my sanctuary, and I do not need all the talking heads from the television telling me what, when, where, and how to live my life. Enough already! In addition, I no longer sleep with my cell phone ringer turned on.Why? I finally figured out why I couldn't remember my dreams (most of which are creative ideas) that I conjure up, while sleeping. Give your brain a break, and go to a play, a musical, read a good novel, take a brisk walk, go for a drive with the family and discover (or re-discover) beautiful Chicago; write a letter (not a text or an email), study a foreign language, but whatever you do my friends, take a brain break! Too much NOISE equates to STRESS and prevents one from innovating, and creating. I ask the question: How do you plan to take a 'brain break'? In the words of my young niece, "TMI" (Too much information) = not healthy. Lol

Fyi: Check out actress, Goldie Hawn's new book: 10 Mindful Minutes. It really sheds light on my recent post, 'mind break'. Good read.

I'm just saying.
No worries... I was guilty too. :)
