I attended my first Project Management class at Keller Graduate School of Management. The instructor is engaging, and a member of the PMI Institute, and she assigned the teams for the final class project. My team is quite dynamic in that it is made up of four highly educated women with cultures from four corners of the world. We had our first team meeting on Saturday, and I think our chemistry works well together. "Team B"... is going to do very well in the class, and the Master's program.
I look forward to learning as much as I can about Project Management because every industry deals with projects, and the skills that I acquire in the classroom, I can apply on the job. In addition, becoming a member of PMI, and eventually taking the PMP exam will be an advantage to my career too. I ask the question: "Why is it (or not) important to work in a diverse team atmosphere?"
