Welcome to My Journey, I am Eunece V. Franklin, and this is "A Day in the Life of." I started my journey by "blogging" about my MBA pursuit (with an emphasis in Marketing). However, I have achieved that goal, and now invite you to follow me on my career journey. I am quite excited about the various opportunities that exist, and I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and friends, for their unwavering support. I invite you to follow me on this adventure as I continue to nourish my intellectual curiosity and open the doors for you to sneak a peek in, "A Day in the Life."

Spring Forward!

My oldest sister (Theresa), Mom, Me (the little one), and  (Juanita) second oldest sister. My baby sister (Michelle) wasn't born yet.
With four days left in the month of March, I am excited about April 2011 for several reasons: I am getting closer to completing my MBA, warm weather approaches Chicago, and 'my second favorite holiday,' Easter, falls later in the month. I guess I have always been sentimental about holidays, but I am especially partial to Christmas and Easter. Easter Sunday was significant in my family because we had a tradition every year. Mom would take the kids shopping for Easter outfits, while dad would have his car detailed. We were so excited to pick out hats, handbags, with matching white gloves, and shoes. Then on Easter Sunday, mom would stay home and prepare the 'big' Sunday dinner, while dad took the kids to Sunday services. I remember being extremely hyperactive and excited in church because I wanted to go home to open up my Easter basket. Naturally, this is the behavior of the last-born (lol). Fast forward, church services ended, we come home, and all I could smell was mom's tasty southern cooking. Naturally, I think my mom is the best cook in the entire world. However, mom would always ask my dad upon arrival if I had given him a hard time. Dad was such an angel he would always tell her "the kids behaved well". Thanks dad, good looking out (lol)! I have fond childhood memories, and around the holidays, I am one big kid (lol)! I ask the question: "do you have any Easter Sunday childhood memories"?
