Is Greed 'Good?

What exactly is GREED? According to the Oxford dictionary:

Greed
Pronunciation: / griːd/Noun [Mass noun] Origin: Late 16th century…taken from GREEDY.
Ø                                          Intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food:

Allow me to opine. Wall Street, (the original movie) was one of my favorites of all time. I thought the lead actor; Michael Douglas (a.k.a. Gordon Gekko in the movie) was made for the role! After all, who could forget his famous ‘GREED’ speech? Lol

I loved the movie, but in the real world there are many who believe the United States is greedy. For example, take a look at the recent article (first published by Michel Martin of ABC’s Nightline News). It is quite interesting.

My response to the article… actually, in the words of the Gordon Gekko in ‘Money never sleeps,’ “Nobody likes a crybaby.”  Or how about the President, speaking at the Congressional Black Caucus dinner, “stop whining, crying, complaining, grumbling, take off your bedroom slippers, and go fight.”
Lol…As absurd as Gordon Gekko, and the President’s speech, I ask the question: Ever heard the phrase, “when the shoe is on the other foot?”
