Welcome to My Journey, I am Eunece V. Franklin, and this is "A Day in the Life of." I started my journey by "blogging" about my MBA pursuit (with an emphasis in Marketing). However, I have achieved that goal, and now invite you to follow me on my career journey. I am quite excited about the various opportunities that exist, and I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and friends, for their unwavering support. I invite you to follow me on this adventure as I continue to nourish my intellectual curiosity and open the doors for you to sneak a peek in, "A Day in the Life."

A Vote of No-Confidence!

The World's largest economy and elected officials must "Lead, Follow, or move out of the way!" On Friday, August 5, 2011, the first time in American history, Standard & Poor's downgraded a triple-A credit rating to AA plus. As such, Standard & Poor's incompetence and irresponsibility has been in question since the economic crisis in 2008. However, this audacious message sent by the credit rating agency, has left Washington politicians scrambling to find answers, while the right answers lies in the politicians egos, faulty ideology, and lack of leadership on all parties involved, including the President. In my opinion, the President should have used his executive order to invoke the 14th amendment. In doing so, his courageous approach would have prevented this embarrassing political tantrum and showed real leadership. As for the Congress, their incessant bickering have not only weakened the fiscal and economic challenges, but has the World wondering, "Is the political institutions in the United States broke." Conversely, the American people must bear witness to a partisan group of in-experienced policymaker's who have changed the trajectory of the political process. I ask the question, "When can the American people begin to see our elected officials...LEAD. Better yet, when will the politicians in Washington, D.C. put country first, over party affiliation?"
